Symptoms: High-pitched squealing during braking or metal-on-metal grinding sounds
Our Solution: We'll check for worn brake pads, damaged rotors, or loose components that need attention
Soft or Spongy Brake Pedal
Symptoms: Brake pedal feels soft, goes too far toward floor, or requires pumping
Our Solution: Our technicians will check for air in brake lines, master cylinder issues, or brake fluid leaks
Vibration When Braking
Symptoms: Steering wheel or vehicle shakes when applying brakes, especially at higher speeds
Our Solution: We'll inspect rotors for warping, wheel bearings for wear, or suspension components for damage
Pulling to One Side When Braking
Symptoms: Vehicle pulls left or right when brakes are applied
Our Solution: Our experts will check for uneven brake pad wear, caliper issues, or suspension problems

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should brake pads be replaced?
Brake pads typically need replacement every 30,000-70,000 miles, but this varies widely based on driving habits, vehicle type, and brake pad quality. City driving with frequent stops will wear pads faster than highway driving. We recommend having your brakes inspected during regular maintenance visits or any time you notice changes in braking performance.
What's the difference between resurfacing and replacing rotors?
Resurfacing (or machining) rotors removes a thin layer of metal to create a smooth surface, which is less expensive than replacement. However, rotors can only be resurfaced if they have sufficient thickness remaining. If rotors are too thin, warped beyond correction, or have deep grooves, replacement is necessary. Our technicians will measure your rotors and recommend the most appropriate option.
How often should brake fluid be changed?
Most manufacturers recommend changing brake fluid every 2-3 years or 30,000 miles. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point and can cause brake fade during heavy use. Regular fluid changes help maintain optimal braking performance and prevent internal corrosion of brake components.
Why does my brake pedal feel soft or spongy?
A soft brake pedal usually indicates air in the brake lines, a failing master cylinder, or a brake fluid leak. Air in the hydraulic system compresses under pressure, reducing braking efficiency. This is a safety concern that should be addressed promptly. Our technicians can diagnose the issue and perform a brake fluid flush or necessary repairs.
